A Fuji X100 has been my long term walk around companion and, as usual, accompanied me on my NZ Birdventure trips. This post shares some images from a walk with my FujiX100 in Port Chalmers.
On this day we were on our way from Portobello on the Otago Peninsula to Orokonui Ecosanctuary and stopped in Port Chalmers for a coffee. I had long wanted to visit this historical settlement and we struck it on a lovely sunny early weekend day when the only place open was the cafe.
I have owned the original Fuji X100, X100s and currently the X100F. Each has been an incremental improvement without losing the lovely old feel of a rangefinder camera with fixed 35mm equivalent lens and dials for manual control. Despite the quirks it is , for me, the perfect camera for street photography.
I shoot in RAW + jpg mode so that I can create versions in-camera using the Fuji film simulations. My most commonly used simulation is probably the Acros + red filter Black and White but this collection of images was made with the Classic Chrome preset in Lightroom as it seemed to best suit the location and light on the day.
The stop was worth it for the coffee. The photos a bonus and a nice reminder of the morning.
