Viltrox extension tubes that come in a set of two, one 12mm and one 24mm are the only ones I could find easily available for the Nikon Z mount. After a trip on a slow boat from China they finally arrived and as promised in my previous post on macro reproduction ratios, here is a quick and slightly rough update.
Adding the 12mm extension tube records an image just over 28mm wide giving approximately 1:1.25 ratio
The 24mm extension tube records a 24mm wide image for a ratio of 1:1.5.
Combining both tubes to gain 36mm of extension records a 21mm wide image for a ratio of 1:1.71
Again the calculated values from the online calculator give significantly lower values than those measured. The calculator gives 1.11x for the 12mm tube, 1.23x for the 24mm tube and 1.34x for the 36mm tube.
The following quick iPhone photos again give an idea of working distance. This is significantly longer than with the 60mm lens which makes lighting the subject easier for the higher magnifications.
