A problem I encountered when starting to use Lightroom and one I have seen many others encounter, is losing access to image files that have been moved in a file manager such as Finder or Windows File Explorer.

All necessary file management can be done within Lightroom and eliminates the risk of the catalog losing track of your files and edits.
